Use comments (see details below). 1. Use "new" and "delete" operators instead of "free" and "malloc" functions. 2. Put open bracket "{" to the next line after "if", "do", "while".... 3. Member variables should start with "m_". 4. Class names should start with uppercased C; every word in class and member function names should be uppercased (ex.: CAwaySender::GetLostBuddy()) 5. Put one space after keywords and commas. Put spaces around operators. 6. Each line of function body, including variables declarations, should be indented by tabulation (and should NOT be started at the same position as body opening bracket) If you like to send a patch, please generate a unified diff (diff -u) file and clearly state against which version your patch is. While writing your comments, please honor doxygen style (see http://www.stack.nl/~dimitri/doxygen/docblocks.html). That specifically means, that if you want to document class or member, put the comment just before it's definition, and add one extra slash or asterisk. If you want to put comment at the same line as definition, additionally put "less then" sign. Comments in code should be done as usual, they do not needed for docs, just for code readers. Here's an example: /** Here goes brief one-line class description. And this is longer class description, with all the gory details included. */ class CAwaySender { private: int m_known; ///< Counts known visitors /// Counts unknown visitors int m_unknown; public: /// Default constructor void CAwaySender(void): m_known(0), m_unknown(0) {} /// Say goodbye to one that we don't like. v is reference to visitor void SayGoodBye(CVisitor& v); /** This is more rude way to do the same as SayGoodBye does */ void GetLostBuddy(CVisitor& v); void CheckVisitor(CVisitor& v) ///< Checks visitor and kicks him off { // in this version we assume that all visitors are unknown m_unknown++; // count it /* yes, we ARE rude */ GetLostBuddy(v); } }; aspseek/doc/Makefile.am 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000256 10027565232 014016 0 ustar root root ## $Id: Makefile.am,v 1.14 2004/03/22 13:31:06 kir Exp $ man_MANS = txt_DOCS = \ CodingStyle templates.txt unicode.txt multibyte.txt EXTRA_DIST = ${txt_DOCS} ${man_MANS} aspseek/doc/multibyte.txt 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000002410 07442643616 014545 0 ustar root root Search in Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages ================================================ Since version 1.1.5 ASPseek is able to index and search documents written in language with multibyte characters, such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. As words in these languages are not delimited by spaces or punctuation signs, documents in this languages can't be indexed in the same way as others, because there is no way to break the sentence into separate words. To extract words from sentence, ASPseek uses dictionaries for each language. ASPseek always extract longest matching words from sentence, which match words in dictionary. To force indexing and searching of these documents use directives "CharsetTableU2" and "Dictionary2" in "ucharset.conf" (provided by including it in "aspseek.conf" and "searchd.conf"). See "ucharset.conf-dist" for details. Also use one of the following values for charset of search page and "cs" parameter of "s.cgi": utf-8, big5, gb2312. Of course, ASPseek should be compiled with --enable-unicode option to configure. Currently ASPseek package contains only Chinese dictionary of about 130000 words and charset definition files for Big5 and Gb2312 encodings. We appreciate if someone will send us dictionaries for Japanese and Korean languages. aspseek/doc/templates.txt 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000031571 07477665036 014547 0 ustar root root ASPseek users have an ability to customize the search results (output of s.cgi). You may do it by providing template file s.htm, which should be located in etc/ directory of ASPseek installation. Template file is like a plain HTML file, which is divided into sections. Keep in mind that you can just open template file in your favorite browser and get the idea of how the search results will look like. Each section begins with and ends with delimiters, which should reside on a separate line. Each section consists of HTML formatted text with special meta symbols. Meta symbol is one- or two-letter name with the preceding $ sign (examples: $DX, $V). Every meta symbol is replaced by it's corresponding string. You can think of meta symbols as of variables, which will have their appropriate values while displaying the search results. The following section names are defined: top This section is included first on every page. You should begin this section with
and so on. Also, this is a definitive place to provide a search form. There are some special meta symbols you may use in this section: $A Argument for FORM ACTION tag with host name and protocol (like http://www.aspseek.com/cgi-bin/s.cgi) $QF Your escaped query concatenated with previous query if search was made within results $q - your query concatenated with previous query if search was made within results, escaped only in "res*" sections $rN Random number (here N is a number) If you want to include some random banners on your pages, please use $rN. You should also place string like RN=xxxx in 'variables' section (see below), which will give you a range 0..xxxx for $rN. You can use up to MAXRANDOM numbers as N (defined in search.h, default is 128). Example: $r0, $r1, $r45 etc. Simple top section should be like this:
Matches $f-$l of total $t Search took $Y seconds. | $W |
Try to produce less restrictive search query or check words spelling
$E
$E
$Tres0The following section names are used to customize appearance of "cached" pages cachetop This section is included first on every "cached" page. The following meta symbols are used: $DU Document URL hiopen hiexopen These sections are inserted before search term, which should be highlighted (hiopen is used in cached copy, and hiexopen is used in excerpts). The following meta symbols are used: $H String value of color to highlight, taken from "hicolors" section. hiclose hiexclose These sections are inserted after search term, which should be highlighted. hicolors Each line of this section should contain value of color for each search term. Value of color is taken from line with number equal to N mod C, where N is the search term sequential number and C is the total number of lines in this section. There is also a special variables section, in which you can set up some values for search. Special variables section usually looks like this: aspseek/doc/unicode.txt 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000004445 07477665036 014177 0 ustar root root Using Unicode support in ASPseek ================================ Since 1.1, ASPseek can store words in Unicode. If web pages are to be indexed by ASPseek have different incompatible encodings (example: Cyrillic + European + Arabian), it is wise to turn on Unicode support. To use this feature, perform the following steps: 1) Run configure with parameter --enable-unicode 2) Compile and install ASPseek as usual 3) Add or uncomment line "Include ucharset.conf" in "aspseek.conf" and "searchd.conf" 4) Optionally disable unnecessary encodings or add not included encodings to "ucharset.conf", see format of Unicode charset files in etc/tables/README 5) Create new database and tables using "tables.sql" and index your pages to that database 6) Create either several international search pages with different encodings or one international search page with encoding "utf-8". In latter case you will be able to search in any language from the same page. 7) Add hidden variable to search forms: where CHARSET is the character set of search page containing form Add hidden variable to search form in result template: OR If initial search form is generated by s.cgi, then add hidden variable to search form in result template: where CHARSET is the character set of page, generated by s.cgi, which can be set by adding line to the "top" template section: 8) Add parameter to "cached link" in the template "cached": cs=&c See s.htm-dist for example. Format of directives "StopwordFile", "Spell" and "Affix" has been changed in Unicode version. Optional parameter representing charset of files specified by those directives can be added. If this parameter is omitted, then charset specified by directive "LocalCharset" is used. Directives "CharsetTable" are unnecessary in Unicode version. Directive "LocalCharset" is unnecessary in Unicode version, but can be useful in case described above. Only Unicode version has true support of HTML entities like ö or ö. Note, that database structure of Unicode version is incompatible with non-Unicode, and you should re-index everything to the new database. aspseek/etc/ 0040755 0000000 0000000 00000000000 10202350146 011757 5 ustar root root aspseek/etc/CVS/ 0040755 0000000 0000000 00000000000 10202350146 012412 5 ustar root root aspseek/etc/CVS/Root 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000070 10202350146 013252 0 ustar root root :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/aspseek aspseek/etc/CVS/Repository 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000014 10202350146 014504 0 ustar root root aspseek/etc aspseek/etc/CVS/Entries 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000617 10202350146 013747 0 ustar root root /.cvsignore/1.1/Wed Nov 29 10:16:52 2000// /Makefile.am/1.29/Mon Jul 1 13:06:11 2002// /aspseek.conf-dist.in/1.38/Wed Jul 24 12:33:47 2002// /charsets.conf-dist/1.9/Tue May 14 12:31:01 2002// /s.htm-dist/1.35/Wed Jul 24 12:33:47 2002// /searchd.conf-dist.in/1.33/Wed Jul 24 12:33:47 2002// /stopwords.conf-dist/1.7/Mon Jul 1 13:06:34 2002// /ucharset.conf-dist/1.4/Mon Jul 15 15:45:00 2002/-kk/ D aspseek/etc/CVS/Entries.Log 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000132 10202350146 014457 0 ustar root root A D/charsets//// A D/img//// A D/langmap//// A D/sql//// A D/stopwords//// A D/tables//// aspseek/etc/charsets/ 0040755 0000000 0000000 00000000000 10202350146 013573 5 ustar root root aspseek/etc/charsets/CVS/ 0040755 0000000 0000000 00000000000 10202350146 014226 5 ustar root root aspseek/etc/charsets/CVS/Root 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000070 10202350146 015066 0 ustar root root :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/aspseek aspseek/etc/charsets/CVS/Repository 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000000025 10202350146 016322 0 ustar root root aspseek/etc/charsets aspseek/etc/charsets/CVS/Entries 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000001007 10202350146 015555 0 ustar root root /cp1250/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /cp1251/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /cp1253/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /cp866/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88591/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso885913/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88592/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88594/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88595/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88597/1.4/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /iso88599/1.3/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /koi8r/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// /mac/1.2/Sun Mar 10 11:42:26 2002// D aspseek/etc/charsets/iso88591 0100644 0000000 0000000 00000001716 07442643242 014747 0 ustar root root #################################################################### # Charset definition file for ASPseek # Charset: iso88591 (a.k.a.
